At Violet Hill, we don’t just host visitors; we host memories. Every person who walks through our doors adds a new chapter to our history. Today, we are sharing a few highlights from our recent guests who reminded us why we love what we do.

A Tradition of Lights and Love

For Charles and Gayle Soileau of Baton Rouge, a stay at Violet Hill Natchitoches is a cherished tradition. They have made the Prince Haithcoat Suite their official "home away from home," returning each Spring and every December for the world-famous Natchitoches Festival of Lights. There is nothing quite like seeing familiar faces back in our dining room!

Smiles Over the Cane River

We also had the pleasure of hosting Mr. and Mrs. Colbert from Crowley. They spent their getaway in the Puckett Suite, enjoying the quiet elegance of the inn. If you ever wonder what true relaxation looks like, you only had to see their big smiles while lounging on the back gallery, which offers a stunning, peaceful view of the Cane River Lake.

Why Nurses Stay at Violet Hill Natchitoches

Violet Hill was honored to serve as the "headquarters" for four beautiful nurses visiting for the Louisiana School Nurses Organization 56th Annual Professional Growth Seminar. Staying in our Stem Wheeler and Prince Haithcoat suites, these ladies brought such vibrant energy to the inn. It was a privilege to provide a restful space for those who spend their lives caring for others.

The Heart of the House: Innkeeper Rene

The heart of every guest story is the hospitality they receive. Our very own Innkeeper Rene is always hard at work in the kitchen to ensure every morning starts perfectly. Whether she is checking the seasoning on her Rosemary potatoes or ensuring the Southwestern eggs are plated just right, her attention to detail is what makes a stay at Violet Hill Natchitoches so unique.
