The breakfast is amazing. Zeffie is a great host. The manager and housekeeping are great as well. Beautiful bed and breakfast with rich history feels like staying in a time capsule of Victorian style. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and served at 8:30am on the dot in a fancy dining room with the other guests. We had access to the balcony from our room with a view of the gazebo. Smaller tub in our room but the jets work fine.

5 Star Google Review of the Violet Hill: Violet Hill is in a perfect location to all the historic downtown stores. It is a beautiful home with original furnishings and offered us a very relaxing trip. Ms. Zeffie is a great cook and a joy to visit with. We had never stayed at a B&B but we're so glad we did. The room was very spacious with a private bath with shower and claw foot tub. We had keys to the house and could come and go as we pleased.

We were able to do a lot of walking instead of dealing with a car. We had the most AMAZING breakfasts every morning prepared by Sherry. She took care of all of us every morning.

My wife and I celebrated an anniversary/birthday at two properties owned by Judge Porter LLC. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at both the Andrew Morris and Violet Hill B&B Houses. Angela (the Property Manager) was very patient, courteous and professional in greeting us upon arrival and showing us rooms at 3 of the properties.

5 star Google Review of the Andrew Morris House Posted: 10/11/2025 From: Dara LaFleur The room was large and decorated well. We had an extra little room with a couch and television and coffee pot. In the closet we had a fridge and a suitcase stand. We loved the whole house. The ladies (Ms. Sherry and Danielle) who made our breakfast were very sweet and the food was delicious, especially the cherry crisp. The patio was very nice, and the weather was perfect this time of year.
